History Crush - Bob Day
Bob Day, novelist and faculty member at Washington College for more than four decades, looked up at me from this black and white Polaroid dating from the late 60s or early 70s.
His time at Washington College’s O'Neill Literary House is legendary. Under his direction, the Washington Post called the readings at the Lit House “the Carnegie Hall of Literary Readings”
And then, there’s this picture of him in full cowboy with his boots on a bicycle. Picture after picture of Bob Day from the pile showed a gregarious smile or a joke-between-us smirk.
